Pilgrimage Tour to Shilling by foot
The Cave of Amarnath lying at a
height of 3952 Mtrs. is a famous holy place of pilgrimage for the Hindus
and is held in the same veneration as Mount Kailash in Tibet. The sacred
Cave contains a Shiva Lingam formed of Ice, the size of which increases
or decreases according to the position of the Moon. Usually there is a
big Festival in the 3rd week of August every year thousands of people
from all over the country and from different parts of the world visit
this Cave. The difficulty of the pilgrimage continues in itself, an
extra ordinary sacrifice-
Day 01 :- Jammu Arrival- Katra (50 Kms.)
Arrive at Jammu airport/railway
station. Our assistant will meet you and transfer you to Katra. Check in
Hotel at Katra.
Day 02 :- Mata vaishnodeviji
After breakfast leave for Darshan
at Vaishnodeviji in the Trikuta Hills, by foot shrine is 12 km. Long,
late return back to Hotel; Forenoon free for personal activation and
rest.
Day 03 :- Katra-Patnitop (80-90 Kms. 2 hrs. drive, 2024 elev.)
Morning leave for Patnitop via
Udhampur and Kud the beautiful resort of sweets, Kud is at an altitude
of 1738 metres above sea level. on arrival check in Hotel at Patnitop.
Patnitop is surrounded by gigantic conifers, a place for quiet holidays.
Day 04 :- Patnitop - Pahalgam (7-8 hours drive, 218 Kms)
Morning leave for Pahalgam (7-8
hrs. drive) 218kms, Enroute Ramban & Jawahar Tunnel (3kms long under
mountain which will take you 20-25 minutes time to cross the Jammu &
Kashmir Region), overnight stay in Hotel at Pahalgam.
Day 05 : Pahalgam - Chandanwari (2895 M) 16 Kms drive - Sheshnagh 12 Kms
trek
Leave after early breakfast from
Pahalgam to Chandanwari by Jeep immediately starts trekking ascending
towards Sheshnagh which is 12 Kms trek, steep ascending towards Pishoo
Ghati pass 13000 Fts. Overnight in Tents.
Day 06 : Sheshnagh (3377 M) - Panchtarni 14 Kms trek
Start early morning for a steep
ascent upto Mahagunas (The great Viper 14500 Ft) then as easy descend
upto Panchtarni situated at the foot of mount Bhairva. Overnight in
tents
Day 07 : Panchtarni (3657 M) - Amarnath (3953 M) 6 Kms trek - Baltal 4
Hrs Trek
Start after breakfast steep ascent
towards Amarnath Holy Cave where you can see ICE LINGAM. This is the
holy cave for Hindus and thousands of people visit the place during full
Moon day. From Amarnath steep descend towards Baltal 3/4 hrs walk,
overnight in Tents.
Day 08 : Baltal - Sonamarg - Srinagar (113 Kms drive)
From Baltal it is 15 Kms drive to
Sonamarg (2690 Mtrs) which is the most beautiful spot of Kashmir valley.
Sonamarg is known as Gateway of Ladakh. Continue drive to Srinagar which
takes 3 Hrs from Sonamarg; on arrival check in House Boat.
Day 09 :- Mughal Gardens
Morning tour of Mughal Gardens
visit the Nishat Bagh (The Garden of Pleasure), Chashmashahi (The Royal
Spring) & Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love), later return back to Houseboat
for dinner & overnight stay. Afternoon tour of Dal Lake visit Floating
Gardens, Lotus Gardens, Char Chinar, Kaboter Khana (Pigeon Palace) and
inside of the Lake by Shikara. Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 10 : Srinagar Airport/Jammu by road
From Srinagar which takes 1 Hrs.
drive to Airport or Jammu by road which is 300 kms drive. |
