This tour is a wonderful journey of
discovery visiting the highlights of Kashmir. A nature lover's
paradise, Kashmir offers stunning scenery with unrivalled
vistas. Sonamarg in the Sindh valley is framed by majestic
mountains and the starting point for serious trekking. Explore
the delightful Dal Lake and see the Mughal gardens. Visit
Gulmarg, a skier's heaven in winter, and a blaze of flowers in
the spring and summer. Then drive to Pahalgam surrounded by
forests of Pine and an ideal place to explore on a Pony trek.

Day 1: To Srinagar
Arrival Srinagar. Upon arrival transfer to deluxe
Houseboat or Hotel for 3 nights stay.
After lunch, board a traditional 'Shikara', visit the
floating gardens and glimpse the unique lifestyle of the
Lake people.

Day 2: Srinagar
Morning visit to the renowned Mughal Gardens on the
banks of the Dal Lake. Framed by the Zabarwan Hills the
gardens are a superb declaration to the artistic genius of
the Mughal Emperors. Visits include the 'Shalimar' built by
Shah Jehangir for his Empress Nur Jahan. Remainder of day to
relax.

Day 3: To Gulmarg
Transfer to Gulmarg after breakfast. Check in at Hotel
Highlands Park. Gulmarg 'The Meadow of Flowers',
is at a height of 2730 meters from sea level, the air is
clear and the views magnificent - on a clear day, you can
see Nanga Parbat. Take an amazing Gondola ride to the
high slopes or trek up to Khilanmarg. Alternatively play
optional round of golf or go pony trekking.

Day 4: Gulmarg
Day at leisure to enjoy the beautiful valley of Gulmarg.
Light walks through pine forests here are most refreshing
and relaxing.

Day 5: To Pahalgam
After breakfast, drive to Pahalgam, en route visit the
saffron fields and the ruins of the 1100 year old Awantipura
Vishnu Temple. The drive is quite beautiful meandering
through mighty Pine Forests. Two nights at Pahalgam. Stay at
Senator Pine and Peak .

Day 6: Pahalgam
Day at leisure, perhaps Pony trekking to Chanclanwari or
Aru.

Day 7: To Srinagar
After breakfast, return to Srinagar and check at Hotel
Grand Palace for overnight stay.
Afternoon free to relax or shopping at Polo View Market to
find little souvenirs, pashminas and Jamawars, beautiful
wicker baskets, walnut wood boxes or Paper Mache products -
some inlaid with gold
leaf! Famous Kashmir saffron and dry fruit.

Day 8: To Delhi
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for return
flight to Delhi.
